Mikes update /at the physio

Hi all , Well I went down for my physio , the girl was nice she wrote all down were I was having the pain , she asked to see me stand without the cruthches , she was shocked at how stiff I was she tried some excerisces but she said I relly need to see a rheumy phiso but she will be happy to give me some excerices .

she said accupunture is out , as she was scared of my medical histroy ( diabeties ) incase I was too get an infection .

so its excerises for me all this week , lets hope I get a bit more movement .

    Did the physio say anything about going to the hydrotherapy pool.

    Hi Joan, yes she did say that the hydrotherapy pool, would be good for me but sadly its too far away as I have no transport.

    HI Mike

    Hope you can manage the exercises and maybe
    if you see a physio from the rheumy dept. it might
    be helpful too.

    Wouldnt the hospital provide Patient Transport to the
    hydro pool?
    Maybe you could enquire, you never know.
    Its part of the recommended treatment then maybe they
    can offer it. Fingers crossed.

    Hi Mike

    I hope the exercises help you. I know what you mean about being stiff..........!!! I don't think I've been able to bend my knees properly for over three years. I wonder if this will get better once I've had TKR?? Who knows?

    I have you and Hazel are ok. I'm aching all over today - it's the rain.

    Hi sharmaine, hope you get the tkr soon , I was shocked to see that I could hardely move my right ankle my foot is lying sideways when I lie down and the left foot is pointing striaght into the air , the physio tried to get me to strightened ( sorry about spelling ) it but it was hard.
