Handsy the blisters in your mouth could well be to do with the methotrexate. It can be one of the side effects. I'd see your GP as they might be able to prescribe something, I've heard Nystan is good for folk who are succeptable to mouth problems on treatment.
Since I started on it I've been using a mouthwash twice a day every day to help prevent them, (don't know if it really is helping or not but so far so good). I don't know about the hairy arms 'tho. Perhaps someone else will be along soon to help with that.
    Good luck

    HI John
I too have heard mtx gives you mouth ulcers, but thought it stole your hair...or is that just for women?

Hey it's not a full-moon is it?

    HI,

my hair has thinned out whilst on MTX - so I am jealous!!!

As for mouth ulcers - do check with your GP or rheumy nurse, as when I have mouth ulcers I cannot have my MTX injection - to give them time to heal and make sure that I am not making myself open to even more infections.

It is a real pain I know, but it is beest to check with them.

One of the reasons I delayed my MTX was because I was told hair loss was a side effect.Thankfully this hasnt happened.
You may have found a medication that could help guys with that problem of going bald!Best bottle it and sell it.(only joking)

    Best wishes

Hi - I'm like wonkylegs - I'm losing my hair - it has gone thiner and really slowed down in growth. Fine for body hair but not really good for hair on head!!!!!

The pharamist told me that mext slows the growth down of certain things - eg hair, nails and makes the skin dry, there is treatment you can have for hair, but doesnt work on everyone!!!
