Kinesio Tape

Hi, has anyone ever heard of, or tried something called Kinesio Tape. I have OA of the lower lumber facet joints, and have heard of this tape that you apply to the painful area. It can be used to constrict movement, or lift the skin away from the inflamation underneath. It's a kind of elastic waterproof tape. I was thinking of giving it a try, but would like to hear from anyone that may have tried it. :?:

Hi Kaiser,
I haven't tried it but I also have oa in my lumber, well most of my back and the only thing I would say is I am sort of sceptical...... Saying that if you try it and it works please let me know.
What helped me a huge amount was to build up the muscles in my back and they sort of help keeping it mobile. I get swelling and inflamation in the lumber as and when so I might have a look at this despite my sceptical side which doesn't understand how it could work. If its like a brace it will weaken the muscles in time so......See my sceptical side hasn't gone far I'm afraid. Take care Cris0 -
