First baby scan - consultant was nice!

Had the first scan today. It was lovely seeing the baby, which was doing forward roles in my tummy. It was very wriggly! It was great to see that there was only one baby in there!
Saw the consultant and he was lovely. Actually answered my and OH questions! I know I shouldn't be surprised but recent rheumy appts have been so disappointing.
Got very nice pictures too. RA not in remission yet but I'm feeling better. So fingers crossed!

Hello, That must be a great feeling to see your baby moving around inside you, like a sort of majic!
I'mnot too sure that I'd like the feeling, but thats me and if I had children I would probably be like everyone about it!
Sorry the RA is still with you, hopefully it will go soon.
Take good care of yourselves! Love Sue0 -
fantastic news and great then the consultant was helpful.
glad you're not suffering to much.

That's fantastic news. Glad it all went ok and that your little 'kidney bean' is fine ( the name my eldest was blessed with after I first saw her during a 9 week scan- scanned that early as I'd threatened to miscarry). Isn't nature wonderful and technology marvellous? Just think you saw something today our Grandparents couldn't have imagined. I am so pleased for you. God bless you all.0

Thanks to all for the congratulations. I'm now in my 13th week and feeling chubby. I'm not sleeping that well (not helped by having to get up to pee during the night) but I'm taking regular paracetamol to take the edge off. My OH is struggling too as he's being kept awake by me so we're both getting in practice of sleep deprivation for when the baby makes an appearance!0
