Who knows, Joan, but if you do not try you will not know. I only hope that it is a very sympathetic physio that you see, who enjoys his/her job, is knowledgable and is keen to help patients in his/her care.

I wish you well on Wednesday,

    Love

    Hi Joan,

I find that the exercises given me by my physio help - I do them daily and they've become part of my routine - like brushing my teeth.

The exercises given are usually to strengthen muscles and maintain maximum mobility - very important for arthur sufferers.

    Hope you go on okay.

Hi, I find that some of my back exercises help if I wake up in the night with pain, I get out of bed and do some simple streches and that helps the pain for a while. My neck exercises are so gentle that I have to be careful and remember not to strech to far, as thats not very good for me. Movement can help, as long as its the right kind. I hope your physio is good, sometimes when you first start you feel a bit stiff and achy but it goes off. Good luck, Sue

    Hi Joan,

Sorry I am late seeing this  Physio is always a bit of a grey area, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but muscle strength building is always a good idea if our not already in a huge amount of pain..... To me at any rate  I glad your going to go and hope the will help you. Luv Cris x Oh and Hi to Sue as well.

    Hi Joan,

I hope she will have a cuppa when she comes back? Its good they are taking their time to look at you and it does sound like they have some ideas on how to help you as well. I always think with physio there is nothing to loose and they certainly have helped me more than not  I'm ok Joan just a bit down at the mo but things will get easier with a bit of time eh? Luv and a ((( ))) Cris x

    Hi Joan

Hope that some physio treatment will help.

First hour the physio will probably take notes,
ask you to strip down to underwear, examine your movement, mine also asked me to walk a little so she could see my gait and problems etc.

But I was changed from the nice girl I saw in the first
week to another person and had an horrendous time due to her
agressive treatment towards me. So as a warning I would say
tell them to STOP when you dont feel comfortable.

I have RA and OA and wanted to improve my mobility,
unfortunately for me, she made me worse. I went faint
and sick and was ill for days, so never again for me.

But I know that was a one off and people do benefit a lot
    from physio.

Hope it does the trick for you.

    Hi Joan

Do hope all goes well for you on Wednesday, let us know how you get on? I have an appointment booked for November and am also a bit nervous about it. I know they do take notes about movement and pain before asking you to try any exercises so they can do their best for you. take care
