Hi, we had a really nice thing happen to us on thursday, the vicar who did the funeral service for Malcolm's dad come round, she said that she had a present for us, she went to the car and bought in a huge basket of fruit and vegetables, they were from the harvest festival at her church.
Some of them are really exotic so I have had to buy a book, the best thing is a bottle of non alcoholic mulled wine, yummy can't wait love Jaspercatxx

Hi Jaspercat
What a lovely gesture from your vicar. I hope the mulled wine - alcohol free - is good!
It's nice to know that there are people about who really care.

Sorry for your loss Jaspercat. I'd not caught up on threads properly yet. Hope you and other half are managing. How lovely to get the harvest festival basket, so thoughtful.

Hi, thanks everyone for your responses, the vicar has well and truly restored my faith in human kindness, the mulled wine was yummy, I am planning a casserole later this week if things do not get in the way love Jaspercatxx0

Hi that was a lovely gesture.
So often when churches offer baskets to people we get our heads snapped off and told that they don't want charity. When we only want to help and cheer people up.
Glad it has cheered you up
