When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.
    Old Cherokee expression.

If you try to stand still, the world will come along and run you over.

The meaning of life is to give life meaning.

Those lyrics are from the track "one way" same album i'e The levellers levelling the land but it's the opening tracks first lyric,
This in my view was the best album they produced the other one that's not to bad is just called Levellers, the only duff track on it is the opening one warning, for some odd reason they added a brass fill in don't ask me why probably some muppet producer thought it would be a good idea to add it to a new age traveller folk groups.

They take their name from the land reformers of the mid 16 hundreds, the diggers and levellers were a radicle peasant socialist land reform group who wanted the land returned to the people, they came from the ranks of the new model army and railed against laws such as enclosures act, a nasty little bit of legislation that should have been simply called land theft from the poor by the rich.

    Hi Joseph

You are an on-line philosopher, I think. These are all very deep and true, aren't they? I particularly like the last one. I am trying very hard to give life meaning at the moment, and having a lot of fun doing it. I am very aware that life is not a rehearsal, so I am trying to give it all I've got.

The thing is never to believe you've cracked it, but to keep exploring all the endless possibilities while you've still got the chance.

    Me too Joan.
When I am fretting over some mild annoyance I always use the one from a childrens book called Walk Two Moons
"in the course of a lifetime, does it matter?"
    Usually the answer is no!

    Hi Chris

That's a good one because it is easy to get bogged down in the nitty gritty of life, and forget the bigger picture.
