Hi Sorry not to have posted today but I'm not very well. I feel like every joint and muscle too is aching - I've not a scrapof energy at all. Even my appitiate has gone! I've slept in the chair all day! My joints are mainly swollen and feel like needles are sticking in them from time to time. Going to bed now for a rest! Maybe its the flu, except I've not been out much for the last week as I have felt odd - sort of 'jelly legged' OA isn't supposed to flare like this so it must be a bug as I'm feverish. :( Sorry to moan, but thats all I'm doing at the moment! I've had OA flares that are much smaller thing than this just extra pain and depression. Bit worried, I hope it is a bug, as if I have to ask the doc again what she thinks I'll feel like a hypocondriac (sp). :( Love Sue

    Hi Sue

That sounds horrible, if you don't feel better real soon you should get the Dr. out, don't try and go to them. Are you managing to eat anything? maybe some soup or bread and oxo just to keep you going and don't forget to drink plenty.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Love

    Hi Sue

I hope you're feeling a bit better after your rest and it's not serious. Are you able to have a nice warm bath? When I have a flare up I find that it helps (gentle music too). This is the time of year when all sorts of bugs seem to be floating about.

My husband took me to lunch this afternoon ...I was feeling a bit tearful but he cheered me up - he's got a wonderful sense of humour. Since I've had arthur I find I seem to cry at the slightest little thing - I'm so emotional - must be the meds. I'm glad we went out - it was lovely and the weather lovely.

Let us know when you're feeling more yourself.

    Take care.

    Hi Sue

Sorry to hear you are feeling this poorly. Don't let it go on for much longer without seeing the Dr as you've already been feeling 'odd' for a week.

Hope you feel better after a rest.

    Best wishes

I've had some toast and coffee for breakfast, and soup last night, with lovely bakers bread from the town. Thats something I alway eat if I don't feel well mushroom soup! Very, very achchy, even my skin feels sore!
Sorry, I'll stop moaning now and say that I am more myself than yesterday and not quite so down. All the kind messages helped, so thank you. Love Sue  xxxx

    Hi Sue

Glad you're feeling a wee bit better and managed to eat something.

I've decided to have a pyjama day. We're going to have lunch then watch a film. It's been raining here for hours.

If you still feel dreadful make an appointment to see the doctor.

    Hello Sue
Oh dear I'm sorry you are feeling so poorly. Sounds like you need to see your GP. Perhaps you have the flu/virus. You could start by ringing the NHS-go through the check list for swine flu. I don't mean to scare you, but it would be a start.
If you are sitting there wondering about all the things that might be wrong with you, then you are bound to feel bad.

You may have a virus of some sort and if it continues over 24 hours then you do need to see your gp or get him out to you. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids

Hope you will soon be back on form.
    love

    Hi Sue,
Just wondering how you are doing - sorry you feeling so off. Maybe you do have a bug - funny dreams are often the side effect of a bit of a temperature I find (or if I've been taking codeine! ) Glad you are feeling a bit more yourself today, get advice if you don't pick up much more. Take care, lol Josie x

Hope you are feeling a little better now, if not like the others have suggested a trip to the doctors may be what you need.

    Hi Sue

Glad that you're feeling a bit more like yourself and managing to eat a little bit. The feeling that your skin is aching isn't good so if you don't start feeling much better soon think you should see your Dr.

    Love

Hello, Thank you everyone, for the lovely messages, its good to feel so many people care. :) I'm a bit better at the moment, and feeling as if I've got more energy, but when I start to do something, I feel tired quickly! I am going to make an appointment to see my GP because I am far from back to normal. So I thought I might discuss it with her.

I also want to talk about the things the physio said about my neck and the fact that although the pain doc sent me to see her about my lower back, the physio, who is a back specialist, was worried about my neck. To be honest, when she told me to monitor it very carefully and go to the A&E if my face stayed numb it frightened me a bit.

Tomorrow, I have to see the Nurse Practioner at the Pain Clinic, so its a busy week

I also got my ESA Medical form today, can't face that yet!

Anyway, I hope you'r all not in too much pain!
    Lots of Love Sue :)

Sue, that would be worrying about your neck  I would definitely ask for more information about that. Sorry you haven't been well, hope you feel better soon.

Let us know how you get on with the nurse.

    Hi
Hope today is better for you . I think whenever a bug strikes you always feel it in your most vunerable places, in our case its our joints. When your body fights off the bugs your white blood cells release inflammatory substances which can aggravate your joints etc.
    Hope you feel brighter soon
