Hope this helps control your pain. The pain in your hip can be unbearable.I have never had a steroid in my hip but have now had a THR and have no pain now!
    Take care

    Good luck tomorrow Gemma!
I had an injection in my hip last year & had at least 4 months without pain! Was amazing! Even managed to dance at a gig in the park!
The op is really nothing to be scared of - you will be having a cuppa tea & walking out a few hours later.

I would be interested to know what injection it is you are having in your hip. You don't say.

I had my Rheumy appointment yesterday and had an anti cortosan injection into my hip for bursitis, but wasn't under anesthetic. Ir only took about half an hour in all. I didn't get a cup of tea.
This is he second injection I have had for bursitis the first being a year ago.

I will certainly be interested to know.

mine was a steriod injection in to the hip for serious pain due to the hip being deformed.

Was under sedation so not many probs, thank god!!

Am a bit sore, but just wanted to get out and off the bed!!

He did say he had a bit of a problem but i think that is where my hip is so deformed he couldnt get the needle in proberly, hip looks like it has had accupuncture!!

    Thanks

    Hi,

good luck with your injection. I had one done a while back before my op, under live x ray. Was great while it lasted. Hope it gives you some relief.

    Hi
I saw my physio today at Hydro and she said i may be advised to be non weight bearing for 48 hours after my procedure and injection on Friday. Is this what you were advised?
