Have heard a few positive reports about homeopathy helping people with arthritis and wondered if anyone on the forum had any personal experience of this?

I've already tried acupuncture which I found to be quite painful (and expensive), and reflexology, which doesn't help but as my friend does it (and for free!) will persevere.

    Hello Wibberley.
I've tried Aromatherapy twice, It was a birthday present. I had a back massage and then a facial, which was from shoulders ending up with an Indian head massage. Lovely. Oh I can feel it now. I want another
OH said he would treat me to another session.
had 2 days absolutely pain free. It gets all the toxins out of your body. Just a thought now, the Methotrexate is a toxin which we are putting into our bodies, so does the above session take it out? Shall have to put that Q. to my consultant on Thurs.
I've had accupuncture, didn't work. Wasn't that painful in fact sometimes I didn't feel a thing. just a slight pin prick. I had it done for my bursitis. Didn't work.
With Homopathey, you would need to completely rid your system of toxins if you were to consider it now. Some drs are able to advise you and you might find one who is a 100% Homopathic Doctor. It would be very expensive though. I sometimes wish that I had the money to go down that path. I think there are some benefits. Let's face it there are a lot of the ingredients in our medication in any case.

It can make interesting reading on the internet.

    Good luck

Thanks for your replies Lynn and Joy.

I had a chat with my rheumy on the phone this morning and told him that my arcoxia isn't working. He has put me onto something begining with C?, and told me he's popping a leaflet in the post to me about Mtx.

Lynn, I too felt that hell would freeze over before I would take mtx but feel that I'm slowly giving in to that option.

I think I'll speak to my doc and see if he knows anyone in my area.

I did start taking rose hip capsules and Seven Seas fish oil/gluocosamine tablets but stopped cause of tummy probs but have decided that's down to the arcoxia, so will start taking them again - Do you think they make a positive difference? I keep reading that it's best to take 3mg of fish oil daily but it's difficult to tell from the box just how much is in these tablets. Can anyone recommend a brand which is the ideal dose?
