I'm having the seasonal flu jab on Thursday as I do every year. I don't think I'll bother with the swine flu one as well even though I've been sent a letter asking if I want it. I think I had swine flu months ago anyway and it wasn't as bad as normal flu.

I've had the normal flu jab, and when they receive stocks of the swine flu one I understand that our surgery will be calling in all people with long-term health problems first, so I will be in the queue!

I'm pregnant and have RA but more than likely won't have the jab as the one the government is offering has extra chemicals in it which they don't know whether they will hurt the baby. If I get offered the alternative one (without the chemicals) then I'll have it.

Hi, I can't have the injection as I have OA and that is not the same, but until this year, because I worked with the frail & elderly, we were all given the option to have it, so I did. As for the swine flu, the same applies, but my husband can have it when they call him. He did wonder if it was worth it, but decided that he will have it.

I can understand people who are worried about it, as when somethings new, its something that requires thought. I think it has to be your own choice. The only people who should be really encouraged, are people who work with patients who might have flu. My own thought was, how would I feel if I got flu and gave it to a weak and frail person who then became very ill and died.
I couldn't do that, so I had the injection.

Life is hard and these new scientific breakthroughs give us more big decisions to make!

I am having my seasonal flu jab on Sat. I have just spoken to the nurse and she says the swine flu jabs haven't come in yet.
They wil call us eventually if we fall into the proper category!
I think I will definitely have to have it because of my bronchial problems.

I am due to have the swine flu jab tomorrow and the letter says the flu jab , I hope they can put it in the left arm , not like the last time in both arms.
