Hi all I have a really painful right thumb on my right hand and the knuckle of the left by my middle finger is also sore, now this has been like this before but the thumb is new, I also have a really painful left jaw joint at the moment, it really crackles if I open my mouth wide it also it don’t half hurt, now I already have OA of my kneecaps and I wonder if I should go to my GP with this or not, I don’t want to keep bugging him he must think Jxxxs not him again as I walk in to see him yet again. I’ve been so often I have a season ticket, It’s funny but knees aren’t too bad just now but my left jaw and right thumb are quite painful, but they aren’t swollen as far as I can see. :?

    Hi Mellman
I know what you mean about hassling GPs. I feel that way too. I presume you've tried your usual painkillers?
If you don't want to do it just yet I understand, but you do need to make a note of it for the future.
Arthur does sometimes sneak around into diferent joints and leave others alone for a bit doesn't he?
I hope it goes off, but if it doesn't....you have to think about going....
    Take it steady
    Toni xx

Hi Toni will do, it’s not that painful just aches when I try and use it, I’m finding taking lids off jars etc are a bit of a struggle right now, it’s not swollen just red on the joint, mind you my knees never swell up not even after the op mind you they still flippin well hurt.

Brave it if you can
I know that men should be able to open jars but I'd get one of those jar opener thingies that grips it for you? You know?
    It would help a bit.
    Take care
