Hi

Feel a bit of a fraud, over the last 18 months I've had 60 hospital appointments still got some left plus for this year and got 2 already for next year. I've had 14 scans still got 2 more for this year plus 1 x ray. Do I really need all this? feel like I'll glow in the dark soon. I've had Drs. and nurses appointments too!! Now hoping to see a dietician as I rang yesterday and they can't give advice without a referral.

I'm just wondering what's going on.

Love
Vonski x

    Hi Vonski

Well you have been seriously ill, off and on, to say the least haven't you? I am pleased to know that you are getting such good attention and they are trying lots of tests. You always said you were greedy! Seriously though, I am relieved that they are trying their best for you now - better late than never.

Do you have a diary allocated purely for appointments, scans, blood tests, rheumy/doctor appts and the like? Surely, otherwise, there can be no space to jot anything else down  On the other hand you probably don't have time to do anything else!

All the staff will know you soon and do you also share yourself around the hospitals or just frequent one? They will be providing you with a uniform soon!

A dietician as well! Are you on christian name terms with one and all?

It is good to know that you are being looked after by the medics as well as at home.

    Luv

Hi, Its good to know that the hospitals do pull out all the stops when they need to.

Do you think you ought to be on the pay roll?

Or, are they going to bill you??? :l  ol:

I hope all this will be worth it for you, as it must take a lot out of you. I get uptight with 1 appointment at the hospital!

    Hi Vonski

You might as well move in to the hospital :!: It would save you the bother of travelling

It is good to know that they are doing so much to help you, and I hope it all pays dividends in the end.

    Hi Vonski
Perhaps they think you are special?! :)
I think they are really tying to look out for you and not miss anything and that is good really.
You must be exhausted with all the time spent on waiting rooms though

    Hi Vonski

I'm glad that you have been getting the attention that you are entitled to. I'm hoping that all the result will come through ok. I think that can be an anxious time too. You deserve some good luck after all you have gone through. I shall wait to hear those magic words, See you in 6 or 12 months.

I have started filling my diary for next year too. Saw my Rheumy yesterday and he wants to see me in 3 months unless the treatment he gave me yesterday didn't work. If that is the case I have to ring him or get my gp to ring him and make another appointment asap.

Hope we hear from you soon.

    Hi Everyone

Thanks for your replies I think I should at least get an invite to Christmas party :) I know most of the nurses and consultants well but over the last few months I've collected 3 more consultants so now have 7 of them and beginning to feel a bit like a lab rat  Don't know if the Rheumy has found anything but she has brought my appointment forward now.

Elna I'm always in the same ward so maybe I could borrow a uniform!
Lynn I told Robert your idea and yes he will sit me on top of the tree, he says I can do that and he'll light the rest with his big red nose
Sue I think they might start charging me soon
Joan I could move in but the food isn't that good
Toni they probably think I'm a pain not special
Kath you've seen the Drs. we have round here no dishy ones yet :)
Joy You need sorting out before next year, fingers crossed for that, II'll send you my autograph of course :)

    Love

    Hi Vonski
You do seem to be going through a lot, but what a lot of consultants you have. Hope they can sort you out soon.
