Well thats it............having spent 11 days in the land of Hadrian's wall....I'm off 'darwn sarf'.

Been off for day trips either side of said wall, and talked to the natives..........
Didn't understand much of what they said, so I just shouted my replies at them...

Why the hell a wall????
Can't really figure who was protecting who, from who.... and what there was worth protecting.

Still it kept a load of ol' boys off the dole queue!!!!!!!

Brickwork was quite good, but the pointing was a little bit out...

Bags are packed, and I'm ready to go.........
How my 'Landlady' has put up with me and 3 dogs, heavens only knows............
All that hair, and muddy feet, and slobber.

And dogs weren't much better......

'See' you guys and gals (and Rehab) later...............

    Hi Rob

Glad to hear you are feeling better now, and off back home.

Re Hadrian's Wall, I think the Romans were protecting civilisation from the Barbarians, or something like that. They succeeded for 300 years- the Pax Romana. Europe has never enjoyed such a period of peace and prosperity before or since. So ends your history lesson for today! ( once a teacher!!)- sorry!

It will seem a bit quiet when you get home, but hopefully the dogs will keep you company. Not quite the same though, is it?

Should I buy a new hat yet, or is it too soon??

Hope you have a good journey.

    Joan

I put everything down to the meds, including the fact that the ironing hasn't been done.
