I’m probably tempting fate with this post but I will carry on.
Now had both knees operated on in April 2008, both found to have advanced OA of both knee caps, post op it’s been basically madness lots of pain mobility problems etc, pain meds such as Tramadol just didn’t help much with the pain I get when it was active or flaring, dammed painful can’t even stand up when it’s really bad makes me feel sick and generally not well at all, now since a few month ago I started to use Chilli cream, since things haven’t been half bad. I've only had one flare and this was very breaf only lasted 3 days!.
I put this down to one of 3 things listed bellow.
1) Chilli cream is really really effective
2) I’m just in a phase of inactivity and the flares will come back, I hope not..
3) It’s taken all this time for post op damage to repair.
A mix of 1 and 3 I can handle it’s just number 3 that I really fear, what I want to know is how long after the op does it take for knee joints to calm down?, anyone got an answer for me on this please, as I don’t want to start crowing that things are ok’ish now only to have all hell break loose as it did once before. :?

Hello, I'm sorry your feeling so worried and down, its not surprising. I haven't had this type of surgery so I can't answer your question, but lots of people on here have, and I'm sure one will be along in a minute.
Good luck, Sue0 -
Thanks woodbon I'm not really down at the mo that happens when it's active, I'm not sure but I think I'm now getting OA in my right thumb and left jaw joint!. :roll:0
