Hi not been on for a while and hope someone can suggest something. In '06 had tkr and everything fine well apart from it not bending properly but thats not the problem. Woke up last night with an itch in that knee which is so bad it makes my leg twitch. It last about 2 seconds and then goes but comes back about 30 seconds later. Wasn't able to get back to sleep as it kept jerking me awake. Sounds daft because it isn't painful just really bl**dy annoying, am so tired and just want to sleep but can't. Anyone think of what it is? Am wondering whether it is a nerve or something any suggestions greatfully received! Mrs D. x

Hi, Itches drive me mad too! Do you think it could be a nerve problem from the op? Have you looked or got someone else to so that you can check for a bite mark? (insect!!!)
If it dosn't settle, I'd go and see your GP as soon as possible, as it needs to be checked over and I'm sure you want to get rid of the annoying little b####r
Good luck, oh another thought, have you tried putting a really icey cold cloth on it? It may help with the itching and if you have any anti-histomine tabs, that may work, It did me when I had chicken pox about 10 years ago.
