Dear Joan
A neurologist is a medical doctor or osteopath who has trained in the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system disorders, including spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. A neurologist does not perform operations. He may well be the person to find out why you are experiencing pain, shakiness etc in your legs.
All the best with the pain clinic tomorrow. Take one step at a time Joan. Mention it like your gp suggested and go from there.

Hi Joan,
I had some tests done long ago, it was all with electrical conductors to see just how much nerve damage I had with the back problems. I don't quite remember cus it was over 20 years ago but it was nothing too drastic and wasn't horrible at all. I had some nerve tests on my eyes a couple of years ago and that wasn't horrible either so please don't let it worry you.
Good luck tomorrow and I am sure they also will explain what its all bout if you ask them. Joan it is better to know I think. Luv Cris x0 -
Thank you Cris.

i hope all the animals are ok.
have a good night. and i hope not much pain to keep you a wake.

Hi,
I haven't seen a neurologist myself, but my hubby did last year. When we saw the consultant in the clinic the first appointment was mostly taking a history (so lots of questions!) and then giving my hubby a thorough examination. (my hubby has twitching legs)
The neurologist gave us plenty of time to ask questions, and he was really really reassuring. He explained what tests he was asking for, and what they would involve. My hubby had to go back for the results, and again there was lots of time to ask questions.
I am sure that you will have plenty of questions so write them down before you go .... it is easy to forget them when you get into the room!
good luck!0 -
