Hi all

Just to let you know that they found 2 cysts in one of my breasts. These were drained and will be sent off for testing. Doctor says she doesn't think I've got anything to worry about but I'll know for sure next week. I had to have another mammogram and an ultra sound examination. I'm glad I shut my eyes when then put the needle in to take off the fluid - my hubby said it was large! He watched the whole thing and didn't bat an eyelid!!! Ugh! The nurses were fabulous and the doctor really put me at my ease. I was cracking jokes and talking non-stop (I do this when I'm nervous)!

Just glad this part is over and I'm feeling less anxious.

Thank you all for your support.

Sharmaine

Hi Cris, Chris7, Pixy and Joan

I've only got a week to wait for the results of the biopsy but I'm feeling more confident that things will be fine especially as the doctor thought the fluid she extracted looked ok - whatever that means and the cysts deflated when she removed the fluid.

What surprised me was that one of the cysts was above my breast on the pectoral muscle - I never check that area , but will do in the future.

I would recommend everyone checking their breasts regularly and go to the docs if they're worried.

No that I've got that out of the way I feel relieved and exhausted...didn't sleep too good these past few days.

Hi, I think its the years of practice, the colour and stuff that gives the doc an idea of what it is. I'm glad you'v had that done and hope you get some rest now. Getting stressed out is very tireing isn't it. Take care and have a good rest, love Sue
