Love reading your posts, Cris.....I've just caught up with this, too.

I hope the gales give you a bit of a break soon, this weather surely can't go on for much longer, I think it's getting everyone down.

Hope you manage to tie all the critters down safely for tonight!! (That might be the answer if the roof is in danger)

    Love n' hugs

    Hi Debbie,

Now you know why I took a bit of a shine to your coloured boy..... I love the flat style T/B's :D Its their faces and countenance I think..... I don't have my own now a days as I am no longer quick enough on my feet or supple enough to ride but the lodgers are here, all section C crosses but I have got fond them though....... The foals are section D crosses but the one I have got closest to just happens to have a bi of blood in her  Slurps to Dexter from him.x

    Hi Joanne,

3 different stories, though 2 are a rework and only one is shiny new  I'm sending them to 3 diff mags with my fingers crossed that one will be taken...... When they are rejected I shall send them back on a 3 rotation system and them write something else for the next round of 9 rejections :lol::lol: Will let you know I promise if any are excepted and tell you where :lol: Just don't hold your breath please  x

    Hi Chris,

You nearly got 2 more just now but again they are too long so I shall go and take a couple of pic's out...... I don't think I said who is no longer did I? Its the beautiful springer with the really nice collar, the old lab and thats fairly obvious actually, and the sheep with the purple spray on her shoulder....... I know there is a more obvious way of know her but we never talked about her imperfections  x

    Hi Annie,

Oh I shall tie a lodger to each corner of any lifting roof :lol: In ones case thats got big appeal today cus he has been cleaning my windows again :lol: You stay dry up there as well. x

    HI Cris

Just read the whole lot again. Girl, it oozes confidence. Take a step back and look again Cris.

Look at the horses, what would have happend to them without you.
The T/B you had the confidence to get him.

You were put to work with the mares. How many had their foals because you have had a hand You are with their foals that they have had. It may not be in writing, but you had a hand in that..

You have the confidence to write this. The words you use. You are a very bright person, you can write Cris, carry on.
that may be what you are meant to be A Writer

    Hi Trish,

I got confidence with animals every time. I just happened to be there but if I hadn't been someone else would have been...... The lodgers foals no, it was a case of me being there at the right mo as their owner doesn't sit with them and 2 I really did have to help out....... One especially would have been in trouble with both the mare and the foal, the other it would have been a dead foal..... That's not the same though I promise you as writing :lol: I always have been ok in a crisis......

Mind if I can get some money then I can get miss stampy feet x rayed! Now thats a good incentive, for this lot I usually come through  I dread to think what she will be like..... sedated I expect :lol::lol: Just imagine her lying quietly and holding her breath :lol: I may not want to know whats actually going on but it might help stop her from going lame like this....

I still recon it is going to happen till her outer hoof has grown down but she just has to stop cus I don't like the daily fight with her and she would like to point out its not top of her best things to do list! xx

    Cris

If you had not been there, with your gentle touch plus your love of animals, perhaps one of the other girls, would not have been able to save it, take some credit!!!

All the owners want is to let people do their dirty work, and let you be paid a pittance for your job.

Is it still the same these days, or have things got better (more money ect)

You have got to take credit for that writing, it has emotion, excitment, you have got everyone on here, looking at your work, I have nit seen one negative remark about it.

Cris, if you earn your money as a writer, look what you could have. The vet bills paid.
If you wrote again, you would begin to have money.
You should try your hand at a kiddies book, see what comes out from you. Winnie is an example. Try it.

    Have another coffee?

    Hi Trish,

I don't know what its like now but i suspect its not much better than farm work and the wages are just minimum. In my day I don't thing there was a min wage? As a trainee I worked a 41 hour week but as a manager I worked 60 hr and got paid well below what was then considered a low wage. I didn't leave cus of that I left cus I got a really bad head injury and my then partner got iffy about the risk I was taking every time I rode.

Oh kids books......... That an even harder market to break into beside I could never be close to A.A.Milne, J.K.Rowling or Tolkien. You can only write about what you know and to be honest I would sooner stay in my comfort zones of either humour or supernatural...... can the last one be a comfort zone?:lol::lol: xx

    Cris

As you know my fingers are crossed, in more ways than one, but I'm still hoping for you, that all will take a turn around.
You have a gift of using words. They make your writing expressive.
You feel a bit like your in there with you, can see in happening.

Is this magazine, well known don't name it y ou might be in trouble. Is it a small one in size?? :D

Oh, go on Cris - a kiddies story about She the sheep and Slipper Boy? If you can't manage that, how about a Christmas story for us?
    I'll look out for it.................
Hope you haven't been blown away, did you have to tie the critters to the ropes in the night?
We're ok here just now, been quite a pleasant day, very mild and sunny, but it's clouded over now and is getting quite dark.
I've got plenty of candles in!

    Hi Annie,

I will swap you this for a nice day :lol::lol: I'm growing a lake in one field and slightly concerned about some fixtures and fittings  Every employer is in doors, even slipper boy doesn't want to be out!

The electric is tripping worse than I do on full hit of tablets and I am looking into getting a ark built fast :lol::lol::lol: Hope it doesn't come your way.

I quite like the idea of a Christmas story....... They do actually get presents and they do open their own, and my old dog used to like opening her and everydog else' as well  Cats love the tree and it has to be tied on to 2 doors  Thankfully I also love Christmas and though he never leaves me anything I do know one of my sheep doubled up as a reindeer once :lol::lol:

You stay safe and keep your power. I am lucky a really good friend gave me a generator and it is on standby

Luv Cris who is running from the men in white coats now xx

    Hi Joan,

That’s very kind of you :D I don't know as I am any of that though  I used to be but this bone thing has cut me down quite a bit :?

I might put the fool 3rd party cus its easier if I am not actually using the words I or me...... But I don't want to bore people either...... I have an idea of a fast forward 18 years to one f my best days..... and no not that kind of best day but a really good lift that got me finally out of a wallowing hole  I don't know though cus I really don't want people 'creaming shut up!' That would have been in a 'Loren' accent but I ain’t bovered....... (credits to Katherine Tate)
