Hello everyone.
I'm back from the pain clinic.
and i've been crying all the time and i dont know why.
i had my app today and my dr told me to mention that my legs are feel as if they are shaking all the time so i said that to him and he said that it was not a sign of arther so perhaps it was from the anitrip and to take paracetamol.
i said about the pain in my hip and and across my back was arther and i was doing the right thing by going to the hydrotherapy and gym.
and i was to carry on with my dr
i should be pleased its not worse but it hurts when i move and goes stiff .
i'm sorry to go on.
i wish everyone a good night.

Hi Joan, sorry you feel worse. Gentle ((( hugs ))) to you. Do you feel you gained anything from the appt? It doesn't sound as though it really helped you. Maybe a nice hot bath and a glass of something nice will help you to unstiffen.

    Take care

Really sorry you have had such an upsetting day. I can't offer any advise other than to go back to your doctor if you don't feel a little better in a day or two. I am sending a hug for you and hope tomorrow is a better day.
    take care
    love Chris

    Dear Joan

I am so sorry to hear that your appointment with the pain clinic was not beneficial from what you have said and it was as if the person you spoke to, was not taking much interest at all. That must have been most upsetting so I am not surprised that you have felt so emotional today. We go to these appointments with hope for some help at least and when we feel we do not receive it, we get very despondent, which is only natural.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to report back to your gp how negative the visit was for you and I do hope that the neurologist you see, is much more sympathetic and understanding.

It makes me unhappy to hear that you have been so upset today.

    Love

    Hi Joan,

Whenever I've had the shakes I've been told it's a nerve problem, but I can't quite see where you might be advised to take paracetamol for it!

Do hope you feel better tomorrow, these 'hopeless' days are better over!

    Love

Hi, I am sorry you are so down, its horrible. I wonder if part of the feeling you have is disappointment that the appointment didn't help much? We invest so much hope in these appointments and when they are over and we've not got much from them, its a horrible feeling. Please don't feel bad about it.

I've not heard of the amatrip causing the effects you have. If I were you I would'nt stop taking them until you've discussed it with your GP, as I think its one of the drugs you have to stop slowly or they can rebound on you. Certainly, I think you need some advice first. Shaking or trembling, although I am certainly no medic, does sound like a nerve problem and maybe you should be asking your GP if it may be a good idea to see a neurologist, if it carries on.

Good luck, I hope you will get some rest tonight and feel better in the morning, Love Sue

    Hi Joan

It sounds as if you've been let down by your visit to the clinic. I find I have to be firm and spell out what is wrong otherwise they take no notice. A technique I use when visiting these people and to make them listen is to start any statements with "I". I am in pain and I need/want you to.............. etc.

This may work. I do hope you feel better. Make an appointment to see you GP again and explain to her how you are feeling.

    Warm regards

Sorry to hear they were'nt much help at the pain clinic, I'd be crying too if it was me. Sounds to me like they did'nt come up with anything for you that you're not already doing. I can really understand your disappointment as we all have expectations from these clinics and hope they help and understand us. Does'nt sound as if they did for you.
I hope you are feeling a little stronger today.
    Gentle hugs rita.

    Hi Joan,

I am sorry you had a not so good appointment with your pain clinic, its not surprising you got upset there. I think we tend to get through this clinging to hopes that something will be done to help us and when that doesn't happen we feel like the rug has been pulled out from under us. I hope you are feeling a bit happier today?

Something I do think is wrong here, no the shaking isn't a sign of arthritis but hell it is a symptom! I promise you it really can be! Mine is! I don't know exactly how it works but its got to be swelling and inflamation plays havoc with your nerve endings either at root level or at peripheral level so I promise you he is wrong to say its nothing to do with it. That's not within his remit zone!

Go back and see your doctor and have a chat with them. Don't let it get you down and I hope you get sent to a better pain clinic doctor who ate the right attitude cereal flakes! Hey you come give me anther hand and we will take your mind off it  Hang in there Joan. Luv and a ((( ))) Cris x

    Dear Joan

There is absolutely no need to apologise on here for saying how you are feeling. The doctor at the pain clinic was well out of order. Anyone would have been upset by the way you were spoken to and treated.

    Hi Joan
Sorry that you are feeling down and didnt get much help from your appointment, it is very disappointing when that happens. I was going to suggest that maybe your CP had something to do with the shaking feeling. Amyl can cause side effects but if you have been on it a while it is likely that you would have experienced this before now. Maybe your GP is the best person to talk this through with because they are the only ones who actually consider all your problems together rather than the specialists who tend to just focus on their 'bit'
I hope you feel brighter soon and get some answers. In the meanwhile sending you lots of cyber hugs.
