I was told by the Surgeon that cycling on flat’ish ground was good for my knees so long as I keep the saddle high but I have OA not RA., swimming as you say however is the best for you as there’s no load bearing, If you have the money why not get one of the new electric bikes they arn't cheap but they have around 30 miles range, I'm thinking of getting one myself.

    Hi there

Cycling, exercise bike, stretching exercises, hula hooping, swimming, walking, pottering around, looking after two children....... :D

You supply the children, I'll look after them, I used to be a nanny when I was in my early 20s - I was a size 10 then, now I'm sort of 16ish

The whole exercise revolves round time and ability. You have to be selfish with the time, 'me' time is everything and you will benefit, so will the family indirectly.

I do swim, 2-3 times a week and I'm thinking of getting an electric bike, even if I only use the pedals a bit, its more than I do now.

    8) Its a grin, honest!

p.s. anyone want a rusty mountainbike with flat tyres? Its good down hills!
