Are you on any medication? If not you must feel awful as there is nothing to control the pain and inflammation.10 days of suffering ahead you poor thing. You could ask if there is a cancellation for them to consider you ,I doubt they will be able to see you earlier otherwise. In the early days(I had R.A) my G.P gave me ibruprofen to see me through while waiting for an appointment to see specialist. Some people have said that is not enough but it did help me at that time.
Keep posting if you need any help
    Take care

    Hi Ali

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. Could you see your GP for some help? Have you taken all your meds?

I hope you get some relief soon.

What a rotten time you're having, For sure you need stronger pain meds and it sounds like a good idea to ring and see if there are any cancellaations too. If you don't et at least a little relief you could always present yourself to casualty and they would hopefully be able to do something. Very best of luck, hang in there.

Well things got worse,i have 3 dogs one of which is a pug and she has had a bad eye this week, saw the vets yetserday and she said it was an ulcer in here eye and gave her eye drops that had to be done every two hours!Well its been a massive struggle i just dont have the strength to hold her and she goes mad when u try to get the drops in so this morning i rang vets and explained i was pretty ill and not coping too well with the eye drops.I had to take her in and when vet saw her eye she said she need emergency surgery over in bristol!!!Thats about 35 miles from me.Told the vet i was ill and she arranged for a nurse to take her over there.Vet has just rung and told me they about to get her in for op and she likely be home tomorrow but i have to go and pick her up.Well i can bearly drive 5 miles let alone 35 so have been trying to find someone to get her for me.Im also worried how im going to cope once she is home,im finding it hard enough looking after me let alone my poorly pug.How am i going to carry on looking after 3 dogs and 2 children???I feel so overwhelmed right now.

    Listen Ali,

I am not surprised you feel overwhelmed with all you are trying to cope with....You are ILL...you've said it again and again in your posts...so you need to speak to a doctor about getting proper treatment. Unresolved pain and worry is weakening.
Please, please get help...phone nhs 24 if the doc surgery is closed!..they are a very helpful and can give you advice at the very least and get you medical assistance without having to wait and struggle over the weekend.

Is there no-one you can turn to for help just now with the kids and the dog? a good neighbour? friend or family? sometimes we are guilty of not asking for help when those around us would gladly step in with support.

Keep posting Ali...there's always someone around in the forum who will listen and respond. let us know how you are. sending you lol. Iris

    Ali,

I've been racking my (very small!) brain, trying to think of solutions to some of your problems. Would it be worth contacting the PDSA about the problems you're having in coping with your dog - they might have a volunteer near you who could help?

I really don't think you can carry on in the pain you are in until 1st December. If I were you I'd speak to a GP at your surgery and tell them how much pain you are in - you need relief now!

Things will get better, I'm sure.

Feeling really tearful, slept until 1.30p.m feel exhausted and my hands are on fire probably made worse trying to deal with my poor dog yesterday.I am seeing doctor on Tuesday morning, somehow got to get my dog on Monday morning, how i will drive that far i will never know,i have put a post on my dog rescue pages see if anyone can help me.She has lost her sight in one eye and will need eye drops every two hours when she gets home,im so worried how im going to cope and she simply refuses to let me do it.This has come at such a bad time(like things do)and when ive asked for help from people i get it thrown back in my face :( Ive stopped asking now i cant face the rejection.

Just when you think it can't get any worse it seems like it has for you. I'm so sorry to hear of your further problems, could the vet not keep him for another while? Do you have nobody at all you can ask to look after him for you? Sometimes folk will help if you only ask them.
I also don't think you should wait until tuesday when you're already in so much pain. I'm sure your out of hours Dr. could give you something to help with the awful pain you're in. Why wait when your Dr. can help you now, this is just not on to make you wait another 3 days when you're already in such pain.
I hope you get some relief. Good luck
