Rheummy has decided to start me on mtx tablets aspc (oh joy!).

Should I get the flu/swine flu jabs before I start the tablets or is it best to wait until my body has adjusted to the mtx? I've 3 kids and there always seems to be some friend or other with suspected swine flu!

I meant to ask him last night but forgot!

    Hi Lois,

    Good news - Yeh !

I suggest you phone your GP's surgery or Rheumy Nurse and see what they say.

    Hiya Legs,

A few weeks ago I'd have said 'no way' to mtx but now I just want to lead a normal life so......bring on the mtx!

I shall call the surgery on Monday - didn't even think of that!

    Thanks,

    Lois x

It doesn't really matter: both are 'dead' vaccines so you can't catch anything from them.

Ring the surgery just to be sure though.
