Hi
Etiquette advisers at Debrett's have issued a list of dos and don'ts for kissing under the mistletoe this Christmas, in order to avoid the danger of catching Swine flu. In case you missed them, here they are;
1. If you're feeling ill, stay at home, and don't go anywhere where you might be kissed.
2. Only kiss a willing target.
So no chasing around after someone with a little sprig of mistletoe in your hand, hoping they will stand still long enough for you to use it.
3. Respect their personal space.
Will someone tell that to my window cleaner? When I gave him a Christmas tip last year, he kissed me full on the lips, and he hadn't even got any mistletoe anywhere in sight. Yuk!!
4. No wandering hands.
And that goes for the ladies too!!
5.Don't kiss on the lips.
You may briefly touch the cheek of the other person.
6.No kissing with your mouth full.
The mind boggles!!
7. A handshake may be more dangerous.
People carry billions more germs on their hands, so cheek to cheek kissing, French style, is healthier.
So there you have it! It's going to be a fun Christmas!!

This sounds like something from the times I use to go to the
'Young Farmers Ball' 45 years ago now. good grief. I don't think I shall have to worry anymore.
