It looks like there are more warnings on the way. When I see the news and the devistation up there in Cumbria. My 2nd hubby's family come from that area. They were hit bad 4/5 years ago aswell

How has everyone else got on? I suppose those really badly affected are not going to be able to let us know.

All I can do is put a donation into the bank. Well, we send enough to other countries don't we. Do you think the EU will help us? Give us some money back. Gordon Brown first said that he would allocate £1m to the cause, then put it up to £2m. How generous is that. Makes you want to say some choice words.

Ditto Joyful, 2 million wont go far considering the devastation.Felt really sad for those affected as many have been unable to get insurance but even with insurance some things are irreplacable.
We have been very lucky here in West London just the odd heavy shower and one thunder storm.

I think most banks have a collection point.
Why of why do these things start at Christmas.

Thanks for that Joy.
I will find out when I can get down town - Mellman has (somehow) given his cold to my youngest daughter and i am trapped in.
I have no idea why this time of year....
