Hi

Just curious and don't really want to wait until I see my Rheumy at end of january.
I have a spondyloaropathy (not sure which type exactly as fairly recent diagnosis) which effects my lower back and hip. Since this latest flare up which has been the biggets and worse ever I have been getting a stabbing pain right the the top of my backside! When walking I also feel like my thigh bone is popping out the side of my hip too which doesnt cause a gret deal of pain but just discomfort. Do you think this all to do with the hip??

I have also recently started treatment for possibly psoriatic arthritis which started off in my hip. I also suffer from the same sort of pain which you describe. I used to be convinced I was going mad cos I used to say it felt like my hip was dislocating itself when I turned.
I've had months and years of trying to convince doctors that it's not just all in my head. Keep your chin up and keep going as the more I stop, the more I hurt, in my experience

I got stabbing pains in my hip so that was why I had THR. The pain has totally stopped now.It was difficult to get into bed without screaming from the pain, and I lost my flexibility gradually over 6/7 years. I have R.A.
    Best wishes
