OMG what a horrible time i had walking my dogs this morning,i was crying with the pain in my feet from the cold it was trully awful and i was really panicking as i was quite far from the car(well far for me)I felt like my toes were going to break off, will i have to wear 5 pairs of socks when i go out now???The cold puts the fear of god in me it really does as i have to get out with the dogs.Thank god im seeing rheumy today,i am so nervous, cried myself to sleep last night incase they cant make me better,i think if i could i will get on my knees this afternoon and beg them to get me well again so i can cope with everyday life.Ok maybe a bit drastic but im really getting that way now.

Poor you, it's horrible. I'm glad you have a rheumy appt too, I hope he's able to help you.
It's got so cold, winter is here. :( I wear UGG boots and they are a lifesaver for my feet, they keep them so snuggly.

Good luck with our appointment and I hope he can help and reassure you. Oh the cold....... I think the hibernation thing is a good idea just now. Take care Cris x

Hi, sorry that you feel so bad and hope your Rheumy can do something, I really suffer in the cold weather, I agree with Skeizer that hibernation is a good idea, I try to stay indoors in the warm as much as possible love Jaspercatxx

    Ali

I was having similar thoughts myself yesterday. I stupidly ventured out to get a few things from Lidl and it was hell. I ached all over and thought my thigh bone was going to pop through out where my knee joint should be! I couldn't get home fast enough. What a chore everything seems to be when you're disabled by arthur.
I had a few tears too. I'm going to make an appointment to see my GP this week. The OT is coming around tomorrow and I'm going to ask him about a wheelchair.

My heart goes out to you and I hope things get better for you soon.
I had the heating on all day yesterday as I just couldn't get warm.
I didn't get to bed until 4.00 am. OH was away on business. My feet were like blocks fo ice. I think you can buy socks that stay warm from Better life - gloves too. I may invest in some and seriously thinking of getting a wheelchair as walking is proving more and more difficult.

Take care. There's nothing wrong with a good cry, Lots of hugs and I hope your appointment goes well.

    Hi Ali,

Just seen your post. I'm currently testing out heated gloves, insoles and a vest. These might be useful for you. I've just posted a message about them if you want to have a look.

I'm going to test out the gloves with batteries in in a little while so will update my post later.

    Take care

    Hi
I've got a car which takes me as far as I need to go if that makes sense. I can park and walk a little bit. I got a 2nd hand mobility scooter recently because we both love car boot sales and no way can I get round them now....I can do about one row and thats it.
It makes such a difference. I live in the North East and when I go to the Metro center I hire a scooter now. £3.00 for the year and 1 pund for half a day {its open from 9am to 9pm most days} I can now see things that I had completely forgotten about 'cause once I parked my car I could only walk to a certn few shops then back again. New lease of life.
Does anyone know {change of subject} will I have to hadn my blue badge back after I get my double hip replacement done?????
