I did my Florence Nightingale impression last night.
I got 2 hours kip , 3 am-5 am.2 children ill and needing comfort and the other wont sleep until gone midnight anyway.
.I was wondering what famous historical character you resemble or would like to be?
As it is Sunday I am not expecting too many replies.
Best wishes
Elizabeth

oh Rehab
You didnt disappoint. I knew you would go for someone strong and determined!
Px have you thought of anyone yet?what about one of those strong willed suffragettes...Emily Pankhurst.
Skezier, the children seem a bit brighter today but I am fading fast!
Still got the homework shift to complete.
Best wishes

Hi all,
Marie Curie is someone I admire. She did so much for science at a time when women were not really considered able to do such things.
However, on a less serious note, how about Moll Flanders!!! There's someone who certainly had a bit of fun in her time.
Can't quite make my mind up.

Oh my, Rehab, what an honour. And the fact you have warm hands is a bonus. Hate cold hands ( I have a very good memory!!).
Now, before I try on the little black number, I'll make sure my wig is combed, teeth in place (they're soaking in a TCP solutio at the moment), and oh dear, where is my glass eye?
See you soon!!

Hi
The historical figure I would choose to be is Bess of Hardwick, Countess of Shrewsbury, 1527-1608.
She changed and challenged the role of women in Tudor history, and she was the richest woman in England, second only to Queen Elizabeth 1. Her income was £ 60,000a year, millions today.
She was a very strong and powerful woman, a property developer, industrialist, money lender, who married 4 husbands, each one richer than the last.
She had Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall, in Derbyshire, built. On the roof of Hardwick Hall, she had her initials set in stone in huge letters which can be seen for miles around.
She was shrewd, charming, scheming, powerful and ambitious.
So watch out, Attila !!!!
