At the end of the day I tend to find my knees are at there worst, I am mostly desk bound these days due to Patellofemoral OA, I normally cook when I get back but I find a lot of times standing up is really uncomfortable and both knees get quite red and puffy and I have to sit down, right my question is this normal with OA??, I also get flares that make me feel quite sick when I have them I understand this is par for the course with OA but I’m concerned about the redness and pain/discomfort I keep getting at the end of the day. During the day I have none of this is visible so my GP and Oc health Doctor have never seen them in this state, I’m worried I am not being taken seriously enough what should I do?. :?:

Have you though about a perching stool for the kitchen as it will take the weight of your knees?

Why not make an appointment to see your GP afte work and get him to do a report for OH?

    Thanks delboy.

Hi Mellman, have you tried taking a picture of your knees, to show your rheumy how bad they get? You could just take it with your phone camera and take it to your next appt.

    Hope this helps

Hi Deb's I have done used me phone to tak a picture of the little blighters but I haven't shown it to me GP as I feel, well a bit a sad old git for doing so, although I will have to at some point I guess. that's as long as me thumbs will allow me to drive there, they seem to be going west just now, I am dizzy with antisapation waiting to see what next falls off of my sorry old carcase.
