Rosy, I'm so sorry to hear you're obviously having a rotten time. What pain killers are you on? have you only recently started taking them? some take a while to kick in but if you're not getting enough relief then I'd go back and see your GP for something stronger. Not getting a decent sleep will play havoc with your body and immune system so it would be worth saying to your GP that your pain is stopping you having a decent sleep. Our bodies can take a huge amount of battering it's true but your GP should be able to help.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

    Hi Rosy

I do hope that you begin to feel less pain and anguish soon. Perhaps you can have a sleep in the day, today.

    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Hi rosy,':)' don't think we've met either!

nice to meet you but sorry it's in these circumstances.':('

You've had such a rotten night, no wonder you feel down..as other peeps have said the body takes a battering with arther so sleep is important...

we all seem to take turns at sleepless, painful nights and time does draaaaaag when your up in the wee small hours and the rest of the world is sleeping.

Jan and Rita are right.... need proper meds..or a change of meds if what you're on isn't working.....go see your doc and tell him how you feel.''

will watch out for your post...hugs from me. Irisx

Hello Rosie, Welcome to the site!
I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time, I have OA and have slow release Tramadol, amatriptyline and diazapam. My OA is in my lumber spine and neck as well as quite a few other joints!

I had problems sleeping but with the tramadol and amatriptylne at night, I do sleep well most of the time.

Have you thought about a memory foam mattress topper, they really help me a lot! Also the memory foam pillow helps me to keep my neck in a better position during the night.

You must go to see your GP, you need help and your meds reviewed. You've got yourself into the vicious circle of not sleeping so you worry and get up-tight, getting up-tight makes it even more difficult to sleep because you are so tense. I may be wrong about this, but I know thats the way my mind and body work against me :?

Hope you soon get sorted, Love Sue
