does chocolate make your symptoms worse?

I know there are certain foods which are particularly aggravating for arthritis - and I wondered whether anyone knew where I can find a list?
I know that the nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes etc) are bad, and someone told me the other day CHOCOLATE was bad....which would explain why - after avoiding it for a couple of months for other reasons - my symptoms got worse in the last couple of days after eating some.
Anyone else experience this?
honestly, what a bummer...
so few pleasures left in life....

Hi
Having a bit of chocolate always makes me feel good! I would die if I couldn't have tomatoes - I look cooking with them.
I've heard that some foods are bad but don't know what they are.
Is there scientific evidence proving that avoiding certain food groups helps arthritis sufferers?

My friend says that pork is bad for arthritis as well as acidic food and dairy products. I asked him if I should starve but being a bit eccentric and not on the same level as me with SOH he didn't understand my joke so I had to explain it to him. Anyway he claimed there is articles about research claiming that this is true and I should check it out on internet. However not everything we read/hear in life is true and we have to be sensible regarding what we do/eat. If it was true would Doctors not be obliged to tell us or are we just keeping them in job? All of them? If some were holding back the truth then what about the Doctors/ Nurses who are deeply religious and claim to be totally honest, surely it would put a large dent in their honesty claim, they certainly wouldn't be able to claim they are whiter than white. Anyway that is my logical thinking and perhaps others have opinions they would like to share on this0
