Hi, I'm still hear, just feeling a bit fed up at the moment, well a lot fed up, to be honest! I had an appointment with the physio yesterday, which was a surprise they rang in the morning and offered me the afternoon as they had a cancelation.

She went over the expercises with me, which have been too painful for me to do properly, as the neck exercise hurts the hips and the hip exercise hurts the neck! Anyway, she has shown me some more that may help.

She tested my muscules and decided that I have very little wastage, but the pain and problems come from the nerves. She thinks that I need to see the neurologist, and I have already bee referred to them to check that their is no disease causing the problem. She was also worried as she said my movements are a bit jerky! I think some of that is a pain thing, not wanting to hurt myself and stoping a movement to for a second before moving some more! That and feeling a bit on edge having to push someone, I'm always worried they'll fall!

I know what neuro things shes worried about as I've worked with them and I asked outright and she said yes, but the chances are so slim and its just a question of ruling it out. She said that when she was training all the girls worried about the same thing. She also said the a neurologist will be able to tell if something is damaged in my neck to the state that nothing can be done and it will stay the same or whether exercise will help move the compression in the neck. She said don't have surgery unless you really have to as its not likely to work, even if they offer it you. (Thats on the neck) and the risks are quite high.

Also the ESA medical team, ATOS have given me another appointment on 4 January. They say that a doctors 'evidence why I can't go to the centre' and then they will decide whether I must go or not! They make it sound as if I'm some sort of criminal on trial for lying. Its made me feel degraded and fed up. I can't go to them, theirs no way I can get thier. Oh well, enough of moaning for now!!! :? Love Sue

    Hi Sue
Glad you are here at least even if you're not doing so good :?
You know at least that physio seemed to have listened to you and is trying to help? If the other exercises make things worse you can't do them can you?
I know what you are thinking of neuro-wise and am sure you will be fine, but it has to be ruled out eh? Have you got a date for thet yet?
The ESA people have been trying to give you the run-around haven't they? Which doctor's evidence??? THEIRS???!!!
WEll you take care Sue - glad you are ok (ish)
    Love
    Toni xx

    Hi Sue
I work as a receptionist/administrator in a busy physio department at a private hospital - and they do know what they are talking about! It is part of their job to highlight any 'red flags' but often these are nothing serious. In my experience they are great listeners and will understand if you explain to them that the exercises are painful. I am fortunate to work with them as they give me tremendous support and understanding. They can shout tho when they see me doing something I shouldn't!!

Hi, I'm sorry to be so fed up but I've just managed to get through to the Dwp. They had me down as not attending for the medical, but have ammended there record, as I explained about my husband having to take time off school! DWP are going to ask Atos to explain why I wasn't seen, but I bet they come up with a good story. I'll just have to take a taxi, but that would cost a bomb, the journey is about 17 miles and it means going through the centre of the city, it takes about 1 1/4. To go by bus takes 1 3/4 hours plus £5 to park as to catch the bus is a drive away. Thats country life for you!

The physio was very nice and explained what was going on. I think I only worry because I've seen the really bad side of things which are not as common as the less severe. If these expercises help, they may try traction after Christmas. Sorry I've been 'away', its just been very tiring and I think I wanted to run away!!

    Hi
I hope you receive your results soon and they can deal with things safely to help you feel better.

Take care. You've obviously not been well for some while.

Can you get your GP to speak to the ESA or write them? Honestly some people are so uncaring. It's no wonder you're fed up.

    Warmest regards
    Sharmaine
