Hello,

Me again *waves*

Well my appointment first, good and bad news. The good news rhmer was really nice to me! Also helped me with my needle phobie .. im going for a needle tommorrow!

The bad news, He has also told me that it looks like ive got swelling on my lower spine, which i was expecting as ive been getting back ach. My right hand has started to bend and legaments have been damaged unfortunatly. Also said ive onli got 8 more week of steroids before i have to come off them because its going to indanger my life because of my heart condition!

Had my wax treatment today it was amazing. you emerge your hands into warm wax 5 times until its covered. Then you put hands in bags covered in towls for 10mins then the physio does a lot of exercises and its amazing coz your joints r so soothed that they can actually move to places they aint for a long time! My left hand got within 3cm of a fiest and my right hand within 10cm of a fiest. This is amazing as i couldnt even do a fiest for the past year. The downside its only short lived and my hands are now angry and swollen! but was worth it for a the hour it lasted!

xx

    Hi madness,

Sorry to hear your 'bad' news. ':('what are they proposing to do about the swelling on your lower spine? are you getting proper pain control? I hope so...''

I've jabbered on about the wonders of wax treatment on the forum a few times...it truly is amazing. My hand therapist includes wax treatment as part of the therapy I get each week. It's so effective in soothing your sore bones and loosens up all the tendons etc.
I often wish I could get fully immersed in it! ...on second thoughts what a sight that would be ...I'd probably scare everyone to death

The wax bath you can buy will accommodate your hands or feet or elbows....

Gad at least you had some positives from your hosp visit and got benefit from the wax. iris x
