Has anyone seen the news story of the Australian chap who drove for miles at speed because his cruse control got stuck?!, look call me cynical but if this individual had paid more attention to understanding how a car works rather than what colour he should paint his nails then maybe he could have just waited until he got on a straight bit of road and killed the ignition, and what’s with the emergency services they followed the hapless individual for miles, what ever happened to natural selection then?, with the lack of intelligence shown here these people are lucky to have made it into adult hood, how come they haven’t managed to get bitten or stung by one of the myriad of generally nasty critters they have running and swimming around out there?.
No Australia has always told us their all crocodile Dundee and bush tucker types when in reality they aren’t anything like that.

So Mellman are we tarring the entire population of Austalia with the same brush by calling th thread 'Australians'??

In my experience as an Australian I have never heard of such a daft story and believe, as you do, that natural selection should have been left to do its job.

However you broad generalisation isn't warranted and touches a nerve with me. As usual I will take it on the chin but I find it sad that you have added yourself to a long list of people whom I have encountered while living in the UK who feel the need to take a swipe at my fellow countrymen.

We had this happen over here in the UK a while back and it turned out to be a set up, the guy crashed a BMW and they found nothing wrong.
Mind you it proves the the saying the loosest nut on a car is the one behind the wheel.
I just can't imagine that a car could be so badly designed that it can't be shut down, if it is all drive by wire then maybe just maybe but the ignition keys is like a castel interlock, once removed it's isolated, and any way where the hell was skippy while this was going on, it wouldn't have happened year ago, skippy would have jumped through the window and pulled the guy from the car and saved the day, nope would never have been allowed to get so out of control.
Oh Rob I'm not sure what colour his nails were but the chap came over like he was a bit effeminate is all. I'm not sure if he is gay but he seemed happy.

Apology apology!, sorry they will have to wait a long long time for that I’m afraid, anyway I would imagine they can cope without to much post traumatic stress, I just hope their customs people don’t read the posts on here I was planning to pop over yonder water in a year or so to see me old work mate who now lives thereI really miss old Tony, I was also going to see my uncle and his kids, he was a £10 pom, I wouldn’t mind living there though the open space would be so nice I find it quite crowded in this country now.
    Oh how’s the pups Rob.

    Melloman

What you are implying is that all Australians are thick, just waiting for Skippy to come along.

How do you know the guy was worried about painting his nails.

What if the guy was gay, so what?? You come up with utter rubbish sometimes and this is it.

Trisher who has Australian relatives, and now you have offended them and me.

    I'm sorry Mellman.

Sometimes, you have to think twice before coming on. I think I may have upset people from time to time, but you do have to be careful with making fun of other countries.
I have relations and friends in Australia. One can probably joke in private to them, but not on here..
You probably didn't mean any harm.

    Hi Mell

I have to admit that I haven't got a clue about how a car works. I just get in and drive it, so if anything like that happened to me, I would be lost, and wouldn't know what to do.

So it isn't just Australians who can be a bit clueless with mechanical things, is it?

I know it wasn't your intention, but you have managed to offend Australian people and gay people in one post.

Say you are sorry quickly before you start a riot !!!!!

Oh, Mellman, you remind me vividly of my uncle who is now 85 and is mentally living in 1952.
In no other way is he handicapped, he's bright as a button, but we took him out the other weekend and spent the entire time shutting him him up and shouting at him "YOU CAN'T SAY THAT"!

I had two drinks cos I needed them and a splitting headache by the time we got home.

Not going anywhere with him again, he'll get us all arrested!

Oh good god get a life please, what is it Australians call us at any given opertunity, Google Oozy insults and see what comes up, when an Oozy comes on TV and calls Brits whinging poms do I take offence?, no my skin is obviously thicker than a lot of you, look I have relatives in OZ and my best mate is gay so is my nephew.
I amazed no one has complained that I have committed animal cruelty by insulting Skippy, no wonder this world is messed up you can’t call anyone anything without someone moaning or should that be whinging, oh no that’s not true bald people seem exempt well them and ginger haired people, oh and before someone on here starts banging on about me offending bald and ginger people I am balder than a badgers backside and my wife has ginger hair ok.
Oh and I also wear glasses so feel free.
