Hi
I wonder if anyone has had this medication. It also known by it's trade name Neoral.
Did you get a lot of side affects from it? If so what did you get?
I have an appointment on Tuesday. I have to tell them if I will try it.
Do you have to take other meds as well?
I know we can react in different ways, I just want to get idea. Also did it help you?

My husband takes Ciclosporin for his eczema. Side effects: tummy ache; headaches; increased hair growth; tiredness. He has to take it with food otherwise he feels rough. He also finds he cannot tolerate spicy food and if he wants to have a glass of beer then he doesn't take his meds. Because he is on Ciclosporin which means his immune system is compromised he is always on the priority list for flu jabs. He had to have both this year at the same time and in different arms: swine flu and regular flu.
Obviously others may react differently. I'm only giving you his symptoms. On the plus side it has really helped his eczema which in his case is quite severe atopic eczema.
I hope this helps.

Hi Shamaine
Thanks for your answer. I have not got eczema though. It is supposed to be my arthritis because I had to be taken off Sulfasalazine, due to a reaction.
I have not got any problems with my skin at all.
Thanks again, I will have a good talk with them on Tuesday.

I believe they use ciclosporin for lots of other medical conditions. Not sure what they are though! My husband was told this by his specialist.
