Well ice and snow permitting.......

I've been on MTX now for 5 months now..
At the beginning it was 24 x 7 nausea and sickness...

I was given anti-sickness pills, but with little success.

Sickness is now about zero, but nausea still 3 - 4 days each week.

I'm going to ask if I can have MTX injections.....Don't exactly feel thrilled by the idea of 'jabbing' myself, but its got to be better that how things are now.....

I do feel MTX is having positive effects.....but at a price.....

Cheers..............Rob x

Hi, Rob, good luck....I hope you get what you want.

I seem to be one of the lucky ones, more than two months now and no discernable side-effects from the methotrexate. Another month and I will be on the max dose.

Mind you, I haven't felt any better yet, either!

I wish you all the very best with your appointment. Drive and tread carefully if you have snow, anything like we have here.

    Keep safe,

    Luv

Well apart from idiots driving like maniacs............

    This went ok....

Suggested I split MTX Sunday and Wednesday....

Give it 2 months......if not sorted then he will consider injections......fair enough thinks I..

Got new pair of hand splints.

X-rays....compared with last time show no significant detoriation......good again....

Got last of Chrissy presents for Grandchildren.......thank goodness....

And driving home..........same idiot behind me..........about 1/2 a cars length away......

    Roads were very icy........me in a 4x4 doing 25 mph in 4wd...

Guess what......yes.......I touched my brakes........idiot did the same.......missed me by inches and put himself in ditch..

Then asked me if I would pull him out.......cheeky fool...

    I said yes.....for 20 quid.....

He got quite upset........said I shouldn't have braked....

Anyway 'no bl&&dy way will I pay that'.....said he..

SO there he is...................lets see him get a recovery company pull him out for £200......

    Season of good will......................bah humbug

    Luv to all.....................Rob x

    Hi Rob! :D
Sounds like a step in the right direction splitting your weekly dose, my rheumy suggested the same for me.
If it does come down to injecting Mtx each week it will be something you get used to. I wasn't at all impressed with the idea of injecting Enbrel but after 12 months I have it down to a fine art provided my hands do as they are told!
Isn't it funny how the driver behind you had the cheek to tell you not to brake! You should have told him not to drive in your boot!

Hope you have a restful night after a busy day :)

    A x
