sore toe

I stubbed my small toe other day and while there isn't any bruising or protruding bone(s) or skin damage I have been getting spasm pains like the kind I occasionally get from my arthritis but didn't have this symptom before this happened. There is a bit of a stinging sensation and redness.
Can stubbing your toe trigger arthritis symptoms, glad my orthotics appointment was cancelled as toe feel a bit too delicate. I keep twitching when I get spasm pain and the cat is giving me strange nervous looks!
