Hello Peter.
Neck wobble!! I think I know what you mean. Does it hurt much?
I am having problems travelling at the moment. I usually drive, but don't at the moment because of pains in my hand and medication.
What I have found that helps me is the get a wide long scarf (Pachimo for a woman) don't know what to suggest for a guy, but if you wear a scarf doubled up, halved and then thread both ends through. Hard to describe. Just wear it fairly firm and I find that helps.
Can't find anything to cushion my hip though. The jolts in the car are killing me at the moment especially all the pot holes in the road.
Hope you can get sorted soon

thanks Joy,
yes it does hurt - also disconcerting. I have a scarf firmly wrapped around my neck most of the day. my wife has bought me a nice array. i feel less self conscious than wearing a collar.
best wishes,

Hi Peter,
Cars...... They just don't make them comfortable at all! Neck wobble is not so good but Joy's suggestion of a scarf does help. I also found really building up the muscles has helped mine but it would depend on how advanced your neck is so be careful on that one.
I find I have less pain driving than as a passenger. It might be the arms being on the wheel? I hope you can find a comfy way. take care Cris0 -
found it on train coming back as well when been on my feet for while neck gets like that and the pain meds had not kicked in thought it was just me as always was bit strange lol. had fall in summer and to stop head hitting corner of wall put arm up as u do lol and tennsed up caused problems with shoulder and neck so just put it down to that but wondering now if it our pal arther ???? and scarf does help .val0

Hello Peter.
Collars are not that good idea anyway. Mainly because the good muscles are not getting used and will weaken. The strong muscles are suppose to help the weak ones.
Have you been given some exercises by Physio. I have been given a couple of good ones, difficult to describe on here and would hate you to injure yourself more. If you do not have a physio, then try and get referred to one.
My neck sounds like snap crackle and pop at the moment.
I think maybe us all sitting at PC screens doesn't help either. Make sure you have got all the soft wrist rests and a roller ball mouse.
