Hi everyone, my brother, who is 43, is making me wonder about things, mostly where he is getting his money from, he e-mails me today and says he has bought a 40 digital tv, and is also having S** HD.

This might not sound unusual but his wife has decided that she isn't going to work any more, he has cut down on his hours as he has a hernia, they have holidays every couple of months, how does he do it? love Jaspercatxx

    Hi Jaspercat,

Are you close enough to him to ask him? It might be some saving plans he has had? I know what has made you worry but there might be an innocent thing? I hope he isn't going into debt cus thats not good.

Hey did you and Malcolm have a good new year? I hope 2010 will be better for you both. Luv Cris x

Ooo i hope they aren't getting into debt. My sister in law and her hubby used to run their own business, always pleading poverty but always p*ssed. If we have a bit of a bad month, my husbands beer is the 1st thing we stop buying!

Maybe they have just saved up. Nice if you can do it!

Perhaps they have come into some money from someone, won the pools, the lottery, lottery syndicate, done well with the premiums, spending their savings with a view of buy now, worry later....... could you not ask your brother?

Echoing everyone else's thoughts, if you're close enough to your brother, just ask him outright. He probably has saved up some money, let's hope so anyway.

I would ask him too if you can incase it's one of those con-things like credit. That [TEXT DELETED] is one of them and they worry me coz they get people into debt :(
    I hope he is ok.
My brother always worries me too :) Mine's my little one - 40, but with my Mum and Dad gone I worry

    [Hi Toni,
I've removed the reference to an organisation above. I appreciate that you starred out some of the letters, but it could still be potentially libellous as published on this website.

Hi, thanks for your replies, I feel a bit reassured, he does work full time and does a lot of overtime so maybe that explains it, we are not really close so I would be a bit embarrassed asking him.

Skezier, had a quiet but nice new year thanks, what about you? really hoping this year will be alot better love Jaspercatxx

they are a lot cheaper now and u do not have to spend loads to go away so perhaps they saved in one of the accounts that you have to leave it so many years before touching it . i am sure he is old enough to decide if he can afford it. also he might have got part of his pention through so try not to worry it will make u ill and help no one sorry you do not feel able to talk to him about it .
