The moon was blue last night and again tonight. If you are interested. you will see that it looks nearly full and very bright with a blue/grey looking crescent on the right hand side of it.
It doesn't happen very often so thought I would mention it. It's lovely to look at if you wake up like I do at 3 o'clock in the morning and the sky is clear which it should be tonight as it's so cold.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Sorry, I full of useless information..

I agree, it's a pretty scene out there - can see the foxes gambolling in the snow while they upturn all the rubbish bins (or try to). Don't think I can stay awake long enough to see if it turns blue am nearly asleep sitting here.

I love looking at the moon and have a large telescope. I am hoping that when my OH has finished my summerhouse, there will be room for it in there, especially with the skylight that is going into the roof. I have watch the moons cycle this month and it has seemed so close to the earth this last 2/3 months. It was mentioned the other week on TV why this was happening but have forgotten. Do you know why?

    Fly me to the Moon
and Jupiter and Mars............ Bart Howard. 1954

Love to hear to you sing this Rehab. Nat King Cole was the best at singing this song. Loved it then Doris Day.

Did you see the 3D film last year, or was it the year before that?
3 flies stowaway in Apollo 11. Must find the DVD. I bought it, but haven't seen it all the way through yet. As we are going to be snowed in might be a good idea.

    Nice to meet you Moonsteed??

Unusually there were 2 full moons in December, I hate being strapped in my chair at these times.

Hi, nice to meet you. Sorry to hear your trapped in your chair, (so am I at the moment) that's how I managed to see the moon 'cos it's next to the window!!
And there are still 2 in December.
I had a look at your wemsite.
I spent a lot of my childhood on the pillion of a BSA that my dad had. He decided to put mum in a sidecar and tour round Scotland one year with me aged 10 on the back.
The chase broke half way up a mountain. Mum went one way and we went the other!

    High Toni,
Well, apart from losing her shoes and a bang on the head, yes. But it was so funny, I've never forgotten the screams as she disappeared into the distance, bouncing round in circles on the one wheel.
I know I sound cruel but it was like a cartoon!!
Thanks for asking though. She lived 'til she was 83 anyway.

    Hello Moonseed.
Last of the Summer Wine springs to mind. You see things like that on films or tv but not in real life. Bet she was none too pleased.
Moon was well blotted out tonight. I wonder what we shall wake up to in the morning.

All the best. hope you are keeping warm

Your dead right! She certainly was NOT too pleased.
Your reference to "Last of the Summer Wine" is right on it. That's why it was so funny.
There's not too much snow here but absolutely FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!! Central heating on full blast and boiler getting ready to take off by the sound of it.

    Hello Steph

Yes, CH full on. dreading the bill at the end of the quarter.
I wonder if we will get another . I think you get them automatically after so many nights of below freezing conditions. One has just gone through the bank for my OH. Mine should come into the Post Office. Doesn't help all that much.

    Joy.

PS The sun is trying to come out here.

    Hello there,
Still trying to get to grips with typing these messages in the right place! Mind you, I do get a bit confused these days. It's all these painkillers making me high!!
I'm dreading the bill. Although I got my cold weather payment in November, I don't think it's going to help that much.
I do knit a lot and have made lots of shawls and blankets. If you need one let me know. Will be glad to send you one.
    Steph x

PS. If you know of anyone who is desperate for one let me know and I see what I got.

I've never seen one of THOSE. I don't blame you! How do you get a sidecar on a Vespa. The mind boggles!
