Something Controversial

I'm going to post this because it's something I've been thinking about for the last few days (no, I'm not still mardy about the row with hubby, I knew you lot would make me see the funny side).

I think we are all grown up and sensitive enough to respect other people's views and listen to each other without offending anyone.

The proposed demonstrations in Wooten Basset.

Which side are you on?

    Hi,
I was in wooten basset, last year when my nephew was repatriated, the people there are so very kind, the flower shop lady was giving out flowers , and hot drinks were coming from the cafe.
I do understand that people want an end to this war, has we all do.
I think the march should held somewhere else just so they don,t cause upset to the people of wooten basset

This is probably going to get me into trouble no change there!.
The way I see it is this, yes he’s right many civillians have died by the actions of both sides so there is a valid point in there somewhere, mind you more have been killed by the Taliban than all the coalition troops put together.
Any dead child or innocent is a terrible sad thing, however Islam 4 UK are nothing other than an anarchy/terrorist group who have nothing but hatred for this country and the brave young fallen lads and lasses who have paid the highest price in this war, it goes to show how tolerant we really are here these days and how lucky Mr Chowdry and his ilk that they can wander around unmolested saying what they like and all whilst claiming benefits while doing it.
Bottom line is these people seem to really hate this country but ultimately are cowards and parasites that haven’t got the guts to use the luxury of the hard fought freedom they enjoy by choosing the right to leave and go to a country that practices the style of barbarity he/they seem to think is better than our tolerant liberal democracy, funny thing is maybe just maybe the free housing, health care and weekly dole handouts etc are just to temping for him to put his money where his oversized arrogant mouth is.
And finaly although I have reservations about this war I will always support our troops as they are doing a hard job with much risk and little reward and doing it well, Mr Chowdry isn't fit to lick their dust coverd boots the hate filled bitter little twerp.
So let them march and I hope he/they get their arses kicked from one side of Wootton Bassette to the other maybe he will finally twig that he and his type have over stepped the line once too often and that he/they are not welcome there or here.
Sorry if I have upset anyone with this but my forefathers shed blood and in some cases gave their lives so this idiot can be free to insult their ultimate sacrifice.

They can march but not, not, in Wooton Basset - they've only chosen there to stir up trouble and hurt people.

There are no winners in war, if I thought for one moment that a march, would put a stop to them, then I would march with them,
but like you say these people are out for whatever pubblicity they can get.

I can think of several places where they could march, especially in this weather!

they should be aloud to march but we do not have to talk about it and it should not get headlines in the news or papers it is a free country but we do not have to agree or help them.
my nephew out there now and worry every time we hear of a death but he signed on for what ever he sent to and will do his duty

I agree with most of the comments on here, actually, especially the ones about the people who are against this country also choosing to live in this country and a lot of them off benefits.

I think everyone has a right to their own views but not when they are obviously choosing a place to hurt so many people, there definitely seems to be an ulterior motive.

Thanks for being so frank, everyone.

IT’S A NO FROM ME and I’m not going to become involved in a written brawl, It was the soldier who gave his all, to give us the freedom we enjoy today not the politician.

Absolutely should not be allowed. Mellman says it all.

This is surely going to cause dreadful scenes and repercussions if it takes place. The fact they want to hold it in Wooton Basset speaks volumes!

Isn't there a law somewhere along the lines of 'inciting public unrest'? Because thats what this march would do.

Sometimes I despair of mankind, and what needless suffering is done to each other
