    Hi Joy,

I did wonder where it had gone....... I think i have been very lucky and yet again given away the fact we don't often get it eh? :lol: When I was a kid I lived with my Nan down here and when I went back to the parents we had snow and it was only the second time I had seen it, and it was at Christmas. I didn't enjoy it I had the worst outbreak of crohn's I have ever had, was misdiagnosed as dysentery an spent Christmas being very ill....... and in isolation! I went back to my Nan soon after and got better much quicker  I was trying to work out what year it was....... My kid sister was born in '63 and the midwife had to be delivered in a tractor cus the lanes were not passable and it must have been somewhere round '68 - '69? Spent some of the '70's up on Dartmoor and the winters there are bad. We couldn't get ff the Moors at all and had food air lifted in. Spent days digging sheep out of hedgerows as well...... Ah the joys of rural life eh? Hope your ok there and stay warm Cris x

    Hi Cris,
I got my bike around that time and it was snowing.Cant remember if it was 1970 or just before(therefore Christmas 69).

    Hi Elizabeth,

It could well have been '69 actually. It was after the lab died and before I came back to them for good. It was the only white Christmas I remember well, though the one my sister was born on I have vague recollection of. Hope Lucy doing ok? and you of course. Cris x
