    Hi Bertybo,

Its an easy one isn't it?!:lol: Safety wins every time  Last time I had to stay in I had to buy some and got the lovely blue ones covered in sheep....... It wasn't till I was sat in the ward I realised I maybe should have got more adult ones  It could have been worse it could have been Buffy the Vampire Slayer ones.......   I hope you soon get your date, Cris x

    I love questions about clothes!

Now you'd think passion killer pyjamas because you're on a ward BUT hospitals are very hot places - maybe a long nightie instead?

I wouldn't wear the baby doll slinky thing - you don't want to give the doctors the wrong (or right) impression :-)

I went for a selection of primark nighties at £3 each - didnt really matter if they got ruined!
It was really warm so the short sleaves were a good idea!

In the past I have opted out of the pj and slinky nightie looks and gone for a track suit and t-short combo.

Works well because you can also go home wearing it :D

Better ask those in the know - just how undignified will it all be???
Don't want to be flashing anything eh?
Definitely an excuse for some new stuff though eh?

My 14 year old girls love those - they afford a levl of dignity i think. Also better check incase they want you dressed in the day - some wards do...

As long as the docs and physio can quickly see your knee when necessary, it does not matter what you wear. :D

Regarding slippers/shoes, best not the flip flop type - remember you are learning to walk again :D

ps you will be walking around after the op, so take that into consideration too :D

pps I wore day clothes after day one. Tracki bottom are best as they can be quickly rolled up if knee is needed to be on view. Also you have to remember that the wound will hurt if it rubs on clothes that are not soft and loose after all the padding has been removed.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.
