Hello all
Can anybody tell me if its safe to to take multivitamins whilst on sala and does it interfere with salazopyrin?
I been taking sala for 11 weeks now and no difference.
I have also been taking Glucosamine sulphate in liquid form to try and help my left knee. I have only pain in my left knee and I am wondering if I have RA at all in the first place.
After getting the run around from the NHS, first a DVT and then keyhole surgery (Where they found nothing apart from inflormation), I am starting to think this might be Consultants putting me into another "box" so say. Even my doctor has smiled at me and kinda said the DVT was a run around.
Its been about a year now that I've had this problem, and no joint problems anywhere else. My hip hurts like hell on the same side, but I think this is due to muclular becuase I havnt been walking properly for 12 months
Im due to see my rummey for the second time on the 21st of Jan so hopefully he can confirm RA?????

Hi Blibbob,
I think that’s what I take, mines a kind of sulfa but just now I can read the label name. Mine don't say they can't be, the only thing they don't 'mix' with is omoprozole. I take cortaflex now, and well it seems to be working an that’s got high % of glucostomin in it. The best thing to find out for sure would poss. be to ask at a chemist? Hey good luck for the 21st, I hope it goes well for you. Take care Cris0 -
My Rheummy nurse said not to take any other supplements. So I dont.
Have you had an X-ray of your hip to see if its a deteriorating joint?.The belief that muscular pains due to walking differently fooled me for a long time(pre-diagnosis of R.A)until X-ray showed I needed a hip replacement.Best to check it out just incase.

Hi blibob!
can't answer your question, sorry, about meds and multi vitamins...agree best to ask a pharmacist!
sorry to hear about your hip pain, sounds as though you need an Xray and further tests etc as Elizabeth has already suggested.
I found acupuncture helped me with hip pain that at that time turned out to be bursitis?
Really would be best to ask the consultant when you see him on 21st! good luck! Iris x0 -
Hi, I don't know about these sort of meds, but I do know that its always best to ask and check it out. So many people think that vitamins are natural and do nothing but good, but, that is not always true. Can't be too careful!
