Well, it's finally happened! Been waiting and waiting and last night it did! My old boiler's finally blown gasket.

Anyone out there who has the same problem might be interested to know that a hairdryer reaches parts that old boilers can't reach.
I should have done it before. It's a bit noising but LOVELY.

Steph x

PS. Rehab be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry your boiler has broken down... there's SO many different ways of interpreting your post though *lol*

When will you be able to get it fixed?

    Hi Nx,
    Good morning.
Don't know when it will be fixed. It's down to the landlord. He knows about it but doubt it will be for quite a while. He doesn't do much at all of course. Do any of them?
Never mind, I'll survive. Have known worse, much worse so musn't grumble.
    Quite enjoying the hairdryer!!!!!!!!!!!!
I let you take that whichever way you can imagine!!
I'm just wondering if Rehab will make his usual contribution?

    Morning!

A hairdryer is really good is you have a sore ear; the gentle heat reaches the sore bit and is very soothing. Found this very useful for kids with a sore ear too. Iris x

    Hi Steph,

Sorry your boiler is up to no good. I hope you can get if fixed soon. Is he scrappage scheme any use to you? More importantly I hope you have back up heat? Fingers crossed they can do a repair on it soon. Cris x

Hey Iris thank you, good tip and I never thought to use a hairdryer  I've used a hottle and a wheat bag but a hairdryer would be so much easier so thank you :D Oh I got some bread this morning :lol::lol: xx

Is there something about hair dryers and the female form that us blokes are not privy to? (quote)

They are warm and reliable, and if they break down, they can be easily replaced by a new one.

Why do I get blamed for everything
I am puzzled as to why you are using your hair-dryer on the dead boiler and why all the female posters who have replied to your post seem to be giggling

Yes! We do all sorts of things with them including warming up the bed without the necessity for a man! And 'Cos they don't shout at you when you touch them with your freezing cold feet!

    Hi Cris,
Yes. No worries there really. My better half does have some uses and will fix it soon. I think it's the electrical circuit more than anything else. Thanks for asking.

    Hi Nina,
Oh it won't be too long to wait.
I would love to know how you interpreted my post? Don't know they would allow it on here though?

    Nina,
So sorry. I used the wrong button again! If you look further down the page, I have replied to you there.
Can't get to grips with the way this works yet.

Thanks for telling me. I'll have to give my better half that tip IF he ever gets round to doing it. You did make me laugh though,
