    Hi Valval

I had a few Physio appointments at our local hospital a couple of years ago. They were for my neck and lower back. The treatment for my back went OK but when the Physio tried what he called "mild traction" on my neck I was in pain for a week.
As they say 'that was the end of that'.

    Hi Val,

I really hope it will help you and I found in the early stages physio was very good with my neck. Have you got the appointment yet? ((( ))) Luv Cris x

    Hi Val,
    good luck with the physio!
seems to work well for some peeps/ conditions but not others.

Not had a lot of success myself with physio but got relief from the acupuncture sessions that she decided to try me with afterwards!

    Hi Val

Just popping in to send a hug and hope all goes well for you on Wednesday. Though a totally different problem the physio I see has been very kind and supportive and doesn't push me too far.
I do hope it helps and that you feel better generally soon.
    love

    I love my Physio!

Been working on my hip and back following THR and can finally start to see signs of improvement - it's painful and slow but def worth it!

All the very best at your first physio appointment tomorrow, Val. I hope you get a really good physiotherapist who knows and enjoys her work, because unfortunately, they do vary.

If you both get on and work together, I am sure you will benefit.

    Look after yourself,

    Luv

    Hello Val
Let's hope Wed comes real soon. Is that tomorrow, 13th or next week?
My neck (spondilitis) starts hurting after a stint on here.
Good luck with the physio, be patient asyou will need plenty of sessions. Make sure you keep your neck warm#

    HI Val,

I had physio for problems with my neck last year, and because I had RA they were careful not to do a lot of manipulating in case they made things worse.

They take a very detailed 'history' before they do any treatment, so that is the time to voice any concerns re pain after etc.

I have to say that the neck physio exercises I was given really worked (although I did feel a bit silly as I did them in the Gp's waiting room or on the bus :wink::lol::lol::lol::lol:

the best thing was I got a number of sessions of neck massage through them, and that really really did help a lot - hopefully they may have something like that they can offer you.

whatever they do, I hope it works for you so that you can do more than you have been able to do recently.

good luck - will be thinking of you!

Hi, I'm off the physio next week, my neck is the major problem at the moment, but if I do the exercises for my neck, it hurts my lumber spine and if I do the lumber spine exercises it hurts my neck! Never mind, I do a bit of each and hope for the best. Love Sue

Glad it all went well, Val. I think I might go privately if I am referred as there is a 12-week wait here for physio on the NHS! By that time it will either be an emergency or it will have cured itself!

I Val how do you feel today, I hope your neck feels a little easier,
I have been for my first appointment with physio today, he was going to start with some acupuncture, but told me he could not do it because I hadn't had anything to eat, he decided to use manipulation on my neck
it was quite painful, but i am willing to try any thing to ease the pain,
He was really nice explained everything while he was working on my neck, I have to go back to him next Thursday when he will start acupuncture.
    so fingers crossed

hope you are all keeping well Sue xx
