Hi, in october of last year I ordered a Skoda Fabia, mainly because I like them, I have been getting messed about, today I was told it is at Grimsby docks waiting to come to Cheshire, can I ask how long other people have had to wait for their car? I would really appreciate knowing.
I am seriously considering cancelling the order love Jaspercatxx

Hi Jaspercat,
Hope your feeling a bit better today? I don't know the answer but it does seem like a long time. I hope someone else can help you with the answer but a ((( ))) anyway. Luv Cris x0 -
Hi jaspercat,
I have a Citroën c4 Picasso, I waited 6 weeks and then it was a couple of weeks early. It went very smoothly for me. I would ring up and say that you want to cAncel if the car is not ready for you by the end of the week, they may get their finger out then!
Hope that you get your long awaited car!

Hiya hun,
i have a kia ceed echo-dynamic and waited 9 days. id ring ur dealer. if its at the docks shouldnt take to much longer.0 -
Hi jaspercat,
It only took six weeks from ordering to get my Ford Fiesta automatic and it was the same the last twice I've had motability cars.
Never heard of it taking so long! don't know if you're getting the 'run around' (pardon the pun) but I think you've had the patience of a saint! Are you sure it's not a rolls you are waiting for?'')
why not phone motability? tell them you're not happy with what the dealer has been saying and it doesn't compare well to other peeps experience? it's your money after all and motability are the organisation who are in this contract with you!
Phone other dealers too to see if they can guarantee quicker delivery then tell that other dealer to go take a hike!.

Hi Jaspercat, My understanding is that the motorbillity section of each dealership should get you on the road ASAP. If the car is having adaption done then it might take awhile but other than that i would cancel their will be loads of garages climbing over themselves for your business. good luck hope its here soon or you choose another dealer.0

Hi
I ordered a motability car (Nissan) at the beginging of November it was due in last week but was held up with the bad weather I am hoping it came in today and I can pick it up sometime this week, I think different companies vary my friend order her car last week from Kia and she will get hers in 10 days.
Hope you are all keeping warm.

Hi, the dealer rung yesterday asking about adaptations, I decided that enough was enough, I rung Motability and told them all about it, he rung the dealer as no adaptations were ordered. So a very helpful man from Motability rung Skoda and spoke to the salesman, he admitted that he had never dealt with a Motability car before.
I am hopeful all is sorted out today, Motability are advising the salesman on how and what to do, I need all of this, I thought the process was easy love Jaspercatxx0 -
For heaven sake! why didn't that salesman speak to someone before now who did know what to do!? sounds as though he's really messed things up and you'd have been quicker building the car yourself.''
Glad you called motabilty...hope you don't have to wait too long now!
The salesman could have phoned round the franchise to see if another dealer had the car you want in stock; that would speed things up.

I ordered a Citroen GP C4 on the 9th Novemeber - it was a factory build as they seem to have no stocks due to the recession. I have heard that it has left the factory in Spain and that I should get it in 2/3 weeks time so I think in total I will have waited approx 10/11 weeks ( all going well with transportation).
Problem being now - the advance payment for ours has dropped by £655  I spoke to my dealer about it and contacted Motability - they have agreed to drop advance payment to current quarters ( for citroen as far as I know) as they have had a lot of complaints, and due to the amount of orders have negotiated a more favourable deal with Citroen. I wouldnt mind so much if I had already recd my car but the fact, it hasnt even arrived in this country yet is more than a bit annoying!0 -
Hi Everyone
I am very disappointed that not only have I still not got my car (over a week late) but on checking on the motability web site the advanced deposite has now dropped from £1099 it is now only £499.
Why do these things take so long to sort out and how does the price drop so much in a short space of time ?.
It makes me feel like ringing the dealer and cancelling.
Hope everyone is keeping warm.

Have you phoned Motability to query your deposit? - I did yesterday and they have honoured the lower payment - not just for me but for other customers too -(Citroen) you would need to try it before you take delivery of car though.
Good Luck0
