Funny Right Leg!

Hi I'm not feeling at my best at the moment, I have an itchy right leg with sort of tiny broken areas, like spots on. and a patch like a bruise, which is slightly painful. I think it is the dry skin that may be causing it, but I'm not sure. My ankles are swollen and my vains are sticking out a bit!!! Still could be a lot worse!
I have got an appointment with my GP tomorrow, I feel a bit silly going with such a little thing, but admit to being slightly worried. Hypocondrea strickes again
Hope most of you are getting to terms with the snow and that its beginning to thaw a bit. Here we only had about 3", which was enough, especially with the ice. I think the grey day we have today is getting me down. My cats don't like it and won't go out! Take care, love Sue. xxx

Hi Sue,
Mine sounds a bit different to yours but there are some similarities. I had an inflamed patch appear on my leg below the knee and I thought I'd banged it but it didn't go away and just itched occasionally, but never hurt. I went to GPs, was examined and told it was nothing to worry about but was because I had an inflammatory condition.....that was 19 months ago. The small patch has got bigger, is still red and inflammed and I've discussed it with 2 other GPs and my Rheumy.....he says it's nothing to do with arthritis.
Just before Christmas I did ask my GP to find about exactly what it was as I may have to have a revision on my knee and they'll have to cut into the patch. I'm told it's thread veins due to the trauma in my knee and it looks like I'm stuck with it ......it looks very fetching if you're into the colour red
Anyway what I'm saying is go to your docs if it's worrying you ....you have to look after yourself.
Hope you get sorted.

Hi Sue!
you're quite right to go see your GP! don't know what meds your on but with some Dmards like Mtx, or the biologics your told to report any new signs and symptoms. '' so always best to be careful!
When I was on Enbrel I developed a rash and what looked like small broken veins and was taken off it straight away and started on Humira.
My cat smudge hates the snow too..........and runs out, does what she needs to do '' and runs straight back to the door.
glad you haven't to wait long to see your doc. let us know what s/he says. Iris x0 -

Hello thanks for all the replies. I have to see the doc anyway, so I'll show her my patch! I've had it a little while, it just sort of came. I think some of it is a type of depression thing, being in for so long and having to see the employment advisor tomorrow, but all my joints are a bit more achey today, it may be the dampness in the air here.
Cats are strange with the snow, arn't they my present lot are all whimps, but we had one who loved snow and used to 'skate' on our pond, backwards and forewards running like some demented thing. It worried me a bit, but she was OK. She was my first kitten, and was beautiful, but we lost her when she was 14, with cancer. She enjoyed her life though! Anyway, keep well everyone. Love Sue0
