new pains and so tired

hi, i was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in july last year and was started on methotrexate straight away. i'm up to 15mg a week at the moment. i take meloxicam 7.5-15mg daily for the pain and paracetamol when i need it. i have to admit i'm not really getting to grips with it. LOL. I feel too young to be starting with something like this, i'm 41... not that young i know. Anyway the pain in my hands seems to be settling, my feet seem to be taking a little longer tho and for the last couple of weeks my knee has been so stiff and sore by the evening. I was wondering if it's likely to be the same problem or is it more likely to be OA?? i have a strong family history of that too??? Not seeing the rheumy's till feb and don''t know if it's worth bothering my GP?? Also the tiredness doesn't seem to be getting any better at all. Hope someone can offer my a little advice or share their experiences. Sometimes i feel like it's just me.
Thanks. Paula.
Thanks. Paula.

Hi Paula,
You sound just like me, don't want to go to doc's he might think I'm making it up or don't want to waste his time.
Go and see him as Jan says that's what they are there for.
I hope you are feeling better soon
Take care & Keep warm

Hi Paula!
I already welcomed you on the "Hello" section. As you are in "the profession", so to speak, could you not be seen a little earlier, if you know what I mean
I cannot help you with the metho, sorry, as I have OA. I find heat helps my knee to calm down, especially at night. I use one of those heated wheatbags that you pop into the microwave. I would not be without one of them!
You are probably on your feet most of the day when working so that would not be too good for your poor knee and feet.
I am sorry I cannot offer much advice but you are most definitely not alone with all this. Tiredness is one of the symptoms too, I am sorry to say, especially when one is holding a job down too amongst everything else.
Why not "bother" your gp? That is what they are there for, after all. Perhaps he may be able to bring your rheumy appointment forward. Worth a try anyway.
Take care,
Luv

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.0
