Beware the Coming of the Kitten, Ange! She will wind you round her paw, smile at you and you will be off to the fridge offering her all the delicacies you can find!

Thanks Cris, feel better for that information. As long as she lets me cuddle her lots, I`m not too bothered about owt else!!
They are feeling a bit guilty about getting a "designer" cat - they both support the local Cat Rescue - but, because of their lifestyle, it had to be one that met their needs.
I hope she is a bit like Amber in temperament. She was so beautiful to look at, but a real scruff at heart. She would sit patiently on my knee, and let me brush her, spray her with special doggie perfume, even put a bow - lilac ! - round her neck. The minute I put her down, she legged it down the garden, to roll around in all the muck, and get the bow off!......Ange.0 -

Sounds like what I need Annie. Would be easier too, I think, than another puppy. I wonder if I`m being gently manipulated here. The lads have been asking me a lot lately if I`d thought more about a new little one. Devious bu**gers aren`t they? I wonder who they take after?.....Ange.0 -
I agree with everyone the new kitten will train you and have you wrapped round it's little paws.
My Mischa loves going to her 'grannys' as she knows she gets spoilt rotten, fed on demand and hot water bottles when it's cold.
You sound as if you are tempted to get a new little addition to the household?

Hi Ange,
Oh the Blues are very affectionate as a general. All the pedigrees are but the Russians are also just beautiful. I should like another Siamese, Burmese or a Foreign at some point but they are not so good at mixing with other cats, bit too elitist The one I should really like is the Egyptian Mau...... had a couple of Bengal’s and well the bits they get from the Mau are lovely...... The Asian Leopard bits well..... Velc's and Erk are part Bengal and well the affectionate bit they have inherited.
Hey Eeyor could be dyed grey...... he is almost long enough in the body as well, he might need coloured contacts.... I think since I been trying to re-home him for the last 8 years I might just have to accept he is 'mine' eh?! Cris x0 -

The christmas tree was climbed and tinsel was knocked off and she knocked all the cards down she really enjoyed her first christmas with us. Yasmine insists on eating as well as her cat food what we eat here is what she has eaten and loves
Speggetti bolagnais, Popadoms, chrisps, peoples ham sandwiches, cheese on toast, fresh cream, jam, curry, pork scratching, soft cheese hard cheese, weetos, cabbage, carrots. We now have to ban her from the room when we are eating as she thinks we should give her some. .
I have enjoyed reading this thread as i love cats. from joanne
Hi Joanne
Yasmine sounds lovely, and still a big kitten. I never heard of a cat which would eat so many different things, especially cabbage and carrots :!:
My cat, Tommy, likes to drink water out of a mug, even though he always has a bowl of water there for him. He also likes to drink pond water :!:
Yasmine thinks she is like us. tommy sounds lovely they have differant personalities its wonderful from joanneJoanne0 -

Don't worry..... the cat will teach you They are very good at getting people to do exactly what they want you to do! Russian Blues are so lovely, sensitive mind and I an jealous now  I don't think the cat will be too much different to your Amber really, cats as a general are talkative, demand affection and my lot like 'novices' cus they can mould them into what they want As a kitten they come complete with the training your human Manuel in their pockets..... Just be prepared to find you end up actually getting one after you have kitten/cat sat a few times...... You'd like Eeyore Sorry just had to try....... Love and ((( ))) Cris xx
Hi Jk,
Nice to see you and hope everything's going well? x
Hey Joanne...... Mine said they are organising an eating contest, would Yasmin be up for entering? Mine don't get curry or pasta but they would dine with Yasmin any day Mine also like sandwiches of any kind, I think their idea is humans are just their food testers Cups of tea can never be left unattended cus they like tea and if they can't put their head in the cup, well they got feet Nice to see you Cris x
count Yasmine in may the best fat cat win. joanneJoanne0 -

On reading this thread again, I remembered my daughter coming home after she had met the fella who later became her husband and she was all excited ' He's got a beautiful cat, her name is Maggie and she wears boxing gloves and bloomers' When I finally met Maggie, I laughed out loud - the description was so apt!

Hi Annie
Your daughter chose well, I think. if she chose a cat lover. My daughter did exactly the same thing, and 15 years and 3 children later, they are still very much in love ( with each other, not the cat :!: )0 -
Hi, we cooked a chicken this evening, Jasper knew exactly what it was from the second it went in the oven, every time we went in the kitchen he begged to have some, even putting one of his front legs in the air!! Eventually we gave in and gave him a little on a plate.
We love chicken but it is a nightmare with Jasper around, he also begs for cheese love Jaspercatxx0 -
If we are making a roast, whatever it is chicken, beef....Mischa comes into the kitchen and peers through the glass door of the oven to make sure it is being cooked to her satisfaction!
